In my last post, I discussed the history of Numerology.

Numerology is very popular nowadays, as a number of online psychics are now offering Numerology readings. This shows me that Numeroilogy is still just as popular today, as it has been for several centuries.

Numbers and letters contain power

Numbers and letters are powerful.

Believe it or not, they have a direct influence on our subconscious mind. This is why advertisers, public relations specialists and government officials use numbers and letters to persuade and convince people.

For example, you may notice that more often than not, private companies, and the government, use statistics or survey results either to prove or disprove something.

Take laundry soap, for example. In laundry soap commercials, they use the power of numbers to convince the consumers to buy their brand by referring to the number of people who allegedly use their brand to wash their clothes.

So as you can see, the power of numbers is amazing, and through numerology, you can also unleash the power behind the letters of your name.

What Do the Letters of Your Full Name Mean?

Depending on the mystical tradition, the meaning of each number, from 1 to 9, and even 11 and 22, varies. Moreover, the number-letter equivalence also differs from numerologist to numerologist, as he or she might be using the Pythagorean system or the Chaldean system.

But the Pythagorean system is the most common and popularly used today.

In the Pythagorean system, it uses the numbers 1 through 9, to correspond to each letter of the apphabet. See the table below:

Also, note that Numerology only uses single digit numbers, except for what are called Master Numbers, and thise numbers are 11,22, and sometimes 33. So here are the meanings of each number:

One (1) – It stands for new beginnings and being pure. Number 1 is also associated with strong free will and pure positive energy.

Two (2) – As a Roman Numeral, this number is symbolized by a twin tower (II), thus it is all about balance, tact (sensitivity towards others and avoiding hurting others’ feelings), duality (positive and negative), kindness, and equalization. It is also associated with communications, rivalry, partnerships, and the natural flow of (good) judgement.

Three (3) – It represents power, magic, fruitfulness, advantage, and intuition. That is why, we call the spiritual eye, the “third” eye.

Four (4) – A square is considered as one of the most stable shapes. That is why, there’s the idiomatic expression, “fair and square.” Number 4 represents stability and solidity. It also represents being calm.

Five (5) – It represents dynamism, mobility, and sometimes, instability. It is often associated with change, the strong feminine energy, loyalty, freedom, and unpredictability.

Six (6) – It is the number of the goddess Venus, and it symbolizes love, beauty, balance, harmony, compassion, and enlightenment. This number is often associated with truth, and calm resolution of a conflict.

Seven (7) – Number 7 is all about mystery, magic, the esoteric meanings of things, spirituality, and deep understanding. It is also the number of manifestation.

Eight (8) – For the Chinese people, number 8 is considered as the number of luck, success, wealth, and prosperity. It is true since the symbol of 8 is the upright infinity (∞) sign.

Nine (9) – This is the number of accomplishment, satisfaction, attainment. In its deeper spiritual meaning, number 9 represents the power to create new things (inventiveness), influence, and intellectual power.

Below are what numerologists call, Master Numbers. These numbers are the numbers 11, 22 and there are some say, 33 is included on the list.

Eleven (11) – It is the number of illumination and vision.

Twenty-two (22) – It is the number of practicality. It is a combination of vision and action. In other words, manifestation.

Thirty-three (33) – It is the Master Teacher. It is associated with spiritual guidance and spiritual enlightenment.

Using the meanings of the numbers above, let’s compute my name Tana Hoy. I will be using the Pythagorean system in the computation:

T – 2

A – 1

N – 5

A – 1

H – 8

O – 6

Y – 7

Adding all the letters: 2 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 8 + 6 + 7 = 30

Since we’ve got 30, let’s reduce it to become a single digit: 3 + 0 = 3

So, my Name Number explains why I have become a psychic! Because number 3 represents power, magic and intuition.
