Confusion, hurt, and frustration can bring about disconnection from the Divine, the source of abundance, prosperity, peace, love, and healing. Through meditation, a broken connection between your Soul and the Divine can be repaired. The confusion that surrounds you will be eliminated.

Meditation is a good way to relax. It is a very powerful tool to unleash your inner potential and maximize your possibilities.

Aside from food, water, and shelter, we need air to live.  From the scientific point of view, breathing is a part of a process which is called respiration.

Respiration is the delivery of oxygen to all cells, tissues, and organs of the body. As your cells receive oxygen, they begin to release the energy that you have taken from food and water

When that energy is released, you are able to do things that you need to do. These  include thinking, talking, and moving about.

But breathing is not only needed in releasing energy from the cells so that you can do your chores or tasks.

In Jewish literature, the word ruach, usually translated as the “breath or the spirit of God,” can be encountered often.

All creatures, big and small, share this same spirit (ruach). As long as this breath is within creatures, then they can continue to live. That’s the metaphysical perspective.

Breathing plays a very important role in meditation.

Why Breathing and Meditation Go Together

By breathing deeply, you help your mind and senses to become calm and still.

In the practice of what is known as “mindfulness meditation,” the first step is to observe the rising and falling of your stomach when you breathe.

Canadian Yoga teacher and Buddhist meditation instructor Michael Stone, tells us in his book Awake in the World (Teachings from Yoga and Buddhism for Living an Engaged Life), that observing the breath is returning to the familiar, in this ever changing world of ours.

In her book How To Train A Wild Elephant & Other Adventures in Mindfulness, Zen teacher and pediatrician Jan Chozen Bays says that mindfulness “unifies our body, heart, and mind, bringing them together in focused attention.”

Bays also said that, as the person has become “unified” or whole again, then everything is whole, everything is holy, and everything is at peace.

A Need for an Undivided You

Many people are “divided” within themselves.  Are you one of them?

Confusion, hurt, and frustration can bring about disconnection from the Divine, the source of abundance, prosperity, peace, love, and healing.

Through meditation, a broken connection between your Soul and the Divine can be repaired.

Meditation can be compared to plugging your desk lamp into a wall socket so that the lamp can produce light.  As the light continues to shine, you will be able to see things in your room more clearly.

In the same way, through meditating, your mind and emotions will become clearer, and you can see things with more calmness and wisdom.
