Using Positive Affirmations To Create Your Reality

tanahoy.com light through darkness

Positive affirmations are like light shining through the darkness, replacing despair with hope.

Positive affirmations have been around for a long time. This is not surprising at all, considering how spiritual consciousness has been deeply integrated into the belief systems of long ago, so affirmations and ancient belief systems go hand-in-hand.

Today, too many distractions in life serve to muddle up our thoughts and divert us from focusing on our connection with Spirit – the Source of all that is positive and good.

What’s Going Through Your Mind?

What kind of thoughts run through your head on a typical day? Do they consist of the lyrics of some random song that you strangely cannot get out of your mind? Plans for what you’ll be buying in the supermarket after work?

Are your thoughts mostly of memories that you’d much rather forget? Maybe they are worries you carry around like a heavy, dark cloud. Or are they a mix of negative, self-blaming thoughts, with positive, self-reassuring thoughts?

tanahoy.com thoughts as powerful energy

Thoughts are energy. Powerful energy. If you keep on thinking about something happening, that something will materialize in your life, in one form or the other.

Whatever your thoughts are, that is where your eventual quality of life will exist because thoughts are energy. Powerful energy.

So powerful in fact, that if you keep on thinking about something happening, that something will materialize in your life, in one form or the other.

For example, if you keep on thinking you are a loser in love, then your relationships will be bound to fail.

Conversely, if you uplift yourself with positivity, such as thinking that after a bad relationship, you will find a better match soon, then you will not be stuck in the rut of miserable relationships.

Here’s what the site Learn Mind Power has to say:

“All physical reality is made up of vibrations of energy. Your thoughts too are vibrations of energy. This is not a concept or theory, but rather the startling new reality that quantum physics now reveals to us. Your thoughts have a powerful influence; they affect what happens to you.”

This main idea is reinforced and explained more by the Deliberate Receiving site:

“Every time you think a thought, you send out that thought’s specific vibration. If a thought makes you feel good, if it’s a “positive” thought, it is vibrating at a higher frequency. If a thought makes you feel bad, if it’s a “negative” thought, it’s vibrating at a lower frequency. So, “I hate you” has a much lower frequency than “I love you”, for example.

The more focus you give to a thought, the more thoughts of the same vibration will join it. This is the Law of Attraction in action – like attracts like. As the vibration grows, it becomes stronger, more stable, more able to attract other, equal frequencies.

When Your Internal Music is Always Negative

I like comparing thoughts to music, a special kind that only you, the owner of the thoughts, can hear.

When you don’t like a certain kind of music, but you keep on hearing it all the time concerning a certain situation, then you end up feeling bad about that situation. You can become resentful, irate, or combative, due to the internal stress you’re experiencing.

Think of your thoughts as the internal music that plays on and on in your mind.

Are your thoughts positive, motivating you to keep on doing what is good for others and yourself? If yes, your internal music will uplift you. This is also how it goes with positive affirmations.

However, if your thoughts are negative, they will not motivate you. Instead, they will contribute to crushing your spirit. If your internal music is harsh and discordant, then your life will be dedicated to struggling to break free from the limitations you, yourself, have set with your limiting beliefs.

Tapping into Positive Energy

If you are the kind who struggles daily with negative thoughts, then it’s time to shift gears and tap into positive energy.

I know that it’s hard to change overnight. But if you are the kind who struggles daily with negative thoughts, then it’s time to shift gears.

If you find it difficult to stop thinking negatively, then you should start to tap into positive energy by thinking, and even saying, the following positive affirmations, which have been selected from various sites. They are brief, easy to remember, and direct to the point

These positive affirmations are for when you’re nervous and afraid. They are from the site Prolific Living:

When you feel insignificant:

I am a unique child of this world.

I have as much brightness to offer the world as the next person.

I matter and what I have to offer this world also matters.

I may be one in 7 billion but I am also one in 7 billion.

When you are nervous or afraid:

I trust my inner wisdom and intuition.

I breathe in calmness and breathe out nervousness.

This situation works out for my highest good.

Wonderful things unfold before me.

From the site Creative Affirmations, here are some of their excellent positive self-affirmations:

I radiate love and joy to all I meet.

I am whole, complete and perfect just as I am, right where I am at.

I am more than capable of bringing my dreams to life.

I release all negativity that is blocking the divine expression of who I am.

I am safe. There is Divine protection surrounding me.

From Dr. Carmen Harra, who wrote these inspiring positive affirmations in Huffington Post, which I am sharing with you because of their beauty that can easily touch your soul:

I am the architect of my life; I build its foundation and choose its contents.

Today, I am brimming with energy and overflowing with joy.

My body is healthy; my mind is brilliant; my soul is tranquil.

I have been given endless talents which I begin to utilize today.

I forgive those who have harmed me in my past and peacefully detach from them.

A river of compassion washes away my anger and replaces it with love.

I am guided in my every step by Spirit who leads me towards what I must know and do.

Creative energy surges through me and leads me to new and brilliant ideas.

My fears of tomorrow are simply melting away.

What to Do Next

You can choose which of the positive affirmations above, as quoted from the various sites mentioned, would be best for you to use in your situation.

I recommend starting with a minimum of three positive affirmations. Read the affirmations that you choose to begin with, then, close your eyes as you silently say them in your mind.

There’s no need to hurry. The positive affirmations work more effectively when you are relaxed,  because by being relaxed, you align your vibrations better with the Spirit, the source of all that is good.

In time, you will be able to memorize the positive affirmations which will be instrumental in helping you manifest a new you, along with a new reality. Remember to always say them from your heart.

I need to remember some of these for the future.

As an aspiring lightworker, even if I have done all I could to help someone, I still feel regret that I may not have done enough. Feeling negative about trying to do something positive. However, unfortunately, there are those who feel good about something bad, like EVs.

Its because of this, everything I know about positivity and negativity falls apart. The action itself has no real meaning but the comprehension of what and how its something of positive or negative nature, but never a “why”.

    For example:
A thought appears > You identify the thought as positive or negative > If its positive, you support it. If its negative you try to counteract it with positive thoughts.
    But why?…

I’m not trying to debunk this like saying “none of this matters because its an action of duality”. If anything I support it completely. I’m just trying to find the answer to why the definitions of positivity and negativity exists. I promise no more duality ranting after this. I’m getting fed up of it myself. Just a few questions to consider though. If anyone is able to answer them, please do.

-If positive actions align with higher vibrations then why? What is the overall arching reason for this?

-Why are many, if not all conscious and sentient beings created to think in form of duality?

-Aside from the obvious, what makes positive “good” and negative “bad” fundamentally? + What is the reason for this?

Remember there’s a reason for the reason. I’ll stop talking now. You’re probably fed up of me repeating this.

Love and light lightworkers light seekers!
