I used to think all of the above things and I suppose I still do, but now I realize how important $ is. Wealth is family, etc., but you certainly need $ to pay for food, clothes, a place to live, etc. I used to believe in just having happiness in family and friends, etc., but you can only be homeless so long before you start to realize how much $ is needed to make it in this world. Thankfully, I’m not homeless now and haven’t been for several years, but I know about living out of a car (thank goodness I owned a car!!) and living off of water instead of food. Yes, wealth is more than $, but you need to include $ too. Wealth is $ AND your spiritual, emotional life. When they are all in conjunction I think one is happiest.
