Is There Still A Chance After Your Soulmate Calls It Quits?
Soulmates can’t break up, right?
If you’ve been asking this question to yourself repeatedly for the past few weeks, months, or (heaven forbid) years, then deep down inside, you probably know the answer.
Yes. Soulmates can definitely break up.
And whether or not there is a second chance, depends on a few different factors I am going to explain in this article
Why Are Soulmate Relationships Unique?
Undeniably the man or woman of your dreams, your soulmate, is someone you’ve been in a relationship within one of your past lives. You may have been together once, or many times before, but your connection remains powerful in each reincarnation.
Soulmates come together to continue their love from their past lives. When you’ve loved someone for hundreds or even thousands of years, your love endures across lifetimes.
Some soulmates even have flashbacks of having been together in a different life.
A romance with your soulmate is a life-changing relationship. You might feel an instant magnetism, or an unexplainable feeling of familiarity, where you might find yourself thinking, “This is someone I know, this is someone I truly care about.”
When you are in a relationship with your soulmate, you feel some of these common feelings:
- The two of you are mentally inseparable, you are always in each other’s thoughts
- You intuitively know each other’s feelings
- You have a deep, spiritual connection with each other
While you may have your differences, you will both have the same core values and principles. You and your soulmate may even share the same wants, needs, and even goals, in this lifetime.
…as with all relationships, there might be times of disagreements or even heartache. While soulmates are definitely a match made in heaven, earthly issues like jealousy, possessiveness, or fear, can still strain the relationship and cause problems.
Why Do Soulmates Break Up If They’re Destined For Each Other?
It’s true when they say there’s nothing in this world like the love of your soulmate. Your connection with your soulmate is powerful on all levels – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
Your dates are full of excitement because you’ve finally found someone who shares your interests. The communication between the two of you is phenomenal, it’s like you’re reading each other’s minds!
Sometimes, everything is wonderful, until one day… it’s not.
Everyday life may have caught up and you have to come back down from your romantic high. It could be a career opportunity elsewhere, a parent being ill and needing care, or other issues, which might lead to separation.
Or, it could be personal issues pulling you apart. The intense feelings of love and passion usually involved in soulmate relationships may prevent both partners from thinking logically. Anxiety or jealousy might have reared its ugly head and caused fights.
The one or both of you realized, you had to let each other go. You may even have known the whys and the hows, but it happened.
Did You Really Lose Your Soulmate?
You may have lost this soulmate relationship, but you haven’t lost your chance at love. Believe it or not, you have more than one soulmate!
Let me explain…
Your soul has very reborn for several lifetimes, and in each of those lifetimes, you have probably had one or two serious relationships.
Whenever you have a romantic relationship with someone in a past life, you form a strong cosmic bond with that person, keeping you both connected lifetime after lifetime. So when the time is right, the two of you will then meet again in one of your future lifetimes together.
Since you’ve lived many different lifetimes, and due to those cosmic bonds that keep you connected to each other, in this lifetime, you will have several soulmate potentials out there waiting to meet you!
Giving you a chance to continue the love you shared in a past life together - in this life.
What If Your Partner Wasn’t Your Soulmate?
There might be a chance the person you broke up with wasn’t your soulmate after all! You might have had a karmic relationship.
For example, at first, it seemed like you found a soulmate connection in your partner.
You had that strong sense of familiarity when you met and you felt like you’ve known each other all your life. At first, the love and passion were intense, but eventually, negative issues like selfishness and obsession started to cloud your relationship.
What you thought was a soulmate connection only turned out to be a karmic relationship.
What Is A Karmic Relationship?
A karmic relationship involves two individuals who are brought together in this life to balance their negative karma from a past life.
Karma is the law of cause and effect. Simply put, the Law of Karma states you reap what you sow.
Souls who are in a karmic relationship often meet in this lifetime when they have unresolved issues from their previous lives. These unresolved issues can be deep, painful feelings of separation, ending a relationship without closure, infidelity, or abuse in a past life together.
For example, you had a relationship with someone in one of your past lives that ended without closure. You suddenly had to leave and you didn’t get a chance to say goodbye or explain to your partner why you had to leave your relationship.
Any painful and negative feelings that don’t get resolved in your past life relationship can be carried over as karma for both of you to resolve in a future lifetime together.
As the saying goes, “It only takes a moment to say Hi, and forever to say Goodbye.” You will have to come together and continue your relationship in this life, or in a future life, in order to resolve your issues on closure.
To end the negative karma and resolve your relationship issues in this life, you both have to come to an understanding and forgive each other – whether you choose to continue the relationship or not.
So, how can you tell if you’re in a karmic relationship rather than a true soulmate connection?
A karmic relationship can sometimes be the direct opposite of a soulmate connection. While a soulmate relationship thrives on deep love and respect, karmic relationships usually become:
- emotionally taxing
- filled with fighting and struggles
There can be times when no matter how hard you try, you just can’t make it work. It may feel like you and your partner are just repeating the same arguments over and over again.
Some karmic relationships are so strained by bad karma from a past life that the only way to resolve bad karma is to end the relationship while forgiveness and civility are still possible. You and your partner must stop the negativity before the relationship makes a turn for the worse.
Another way to end bad karma and prevent the same thing from happening in your next life is to be fully committed to working out your differences. Understanding and forgiving each other can resolve your past life issues and turn your bad karma into good karma.
How Do You Know For Sure If A Relationship Is Karmic Or A Soulmate Connection?
At first, there’s really no way to tell for certain if what you have is a soulmate relationship or a karmic relationship.
The best thing to do is to take your time and get to know someone before starting a relationship. While you might feel a powerful connection to someone, taking things slowly will enable you to think clearly and help you decide where you want the relationship to go.
