What It Means When You Dream About Someone – by Tana Hoy

Dreaming is one of the most fascinating and mysterious aspects of the human psyche. For centuries, people have interpreted dreams to be a kind of omen, and even scientists have tried to explain this natural phenomenon. One thing is for sure though, dreams have meanings, and when you dream about someone, that has a meaning, too.

If you need help in understanding your dreams, during a psychic reading I can help you understand the true meanings of your dreams. You’ll probably be amazed when you understand the deep-seated meaning when you dream about someone.

Why Do People Dream?

You dream because when your body is at rest, your mind takes over. Without the external, physical distractions of everyday life, when you dream you are able to become more aware of what is going on within you on the psychic level. In short, you’re able to look inward, not outward.

Dreams are symbols, and they carry with them messages that allow you to gain insights about yourself and the world around you. You may dream “normal” dreams, which are expressions of what you’ve experienced or are experiencing, or you can have special dreams, like talking to your spirit guides, or receiving warnings of future events.

When Does It Mean When You Dream About Someone

So if you dream about a particular person, what does it mean? Many people believe that when this occurs, that person they’re dreaming of is dreaming about them, too. While this is not impossible, it’s more likely that if you dream about a person, it’s because they are a symbol of a certain aspect of your life.

For example, dreaming about a childhood friend could mean that there is something in your youth that you’d like to go back to. Your adult life may be taking a toll on you, and you’re craving for the freedom of your younger years when you had no worries. Or it could also mean that your old friend embodies an aspiration that you haven’t achieved yet.

Another example is, if you dream about someone you know who is always angry or sad, it could be that you’re experiencing anger or sadness at some level, but you’re not admitting it, even to yourself.

How Dreams Can Help You

Dreams are a way that your subconscious lets you know what is really happening within you. There may be issues in your life that you’re not dealing with, and your dreams can be a way to help you face and resolve these issues.

Dreams can also reveal to you how you can get out of certain situations, as well as overcome problems. Dreams about certain individuals are particularly helpful because these people are a part of you, so they represent a stage or aspect in your life.

Dreaming about an old lover after many years, could mean that you’re missing them, but it’s more likely that there are issues in your current relationship that you need to resolve. On the other hand, unless there is a direct message involved, the presence of a deceased loved one in a dream could mean fear of loss.

How To Interpret The Meanings Of Your Dreams

The thing about dreams is they are highly symbolic and very personal. Therefore, no general interpretation can truly be claimed as the meaning of a particular dream.

Moreover, the interpretation of a dream depends on looking at the whole context of the dream, as well as your relationship with the person you are dreaming about.

For instance, how close are you with the person? What is the current situation of your relationship? How long ago, or how recently have you seen them, and how often? Also, how often does the dream occur?
What I recommend is to have a dream journal and keep it handy by your bedside at all times. When you wake up, try not to “rise and shine” all at once, because dreams have a tendency to slip away.

Instead, remain in a half-asleep state, and write down everything you can remember about the dream, including your feelings, smells, colors, facial expressions, and the like.

Then later on, you can go back to what you’ve written and try to analyze it accordingly by looking at how each symbol or aspect of the dream relates to you, and how it affects you.

Dreams can be fascinating, and reveal several things to you! If you would like a deeper understanding of the important messages your dreams have for you, then click here to schedule a psychic reading so I can help you understand their deeper meanings!

I just had a nightmare. I dreamt about the worst person in my life right now. Now I’m scared. I’m confused, and I don’t know what to do! My dream was about my old crush… Now I hate him. He is the worst jerk ever, LITERALLY. After I moved from my home, he spread a rumor about me, to EVERYONE. I haven’t seen him in 2 years. Now all of a sudden I feel down and depressed because I haven’t found that special someone, then of all the people I coudve dreamt about, it had to be HIM. I dreamt that it was my birthday and he was at the party along with some friends, and I was his girlfriend! (like that would ever happen in a million years) than someone tried to take my picture and I screamed, than I was in my bed. He was by my side. He asked if I was mad about him spilling his drink into my ice cream. I told him I wasn’t mad, then I woke up. I started to cry a little cause whenever I think about him I feel like punching something. I have NO idea what this means! I need help. But I’m young, and I don’t know if I can schedule a reading…

Hi, I keep having dreams about a girl I met in a mental health clinic, I still have deep feelings for her but she doesn’t feel the same way. I’m my dreams someone is always hurting her and I always save her. Last night I had a dream that we were at a wedding together and that were sharing a bedroom with two beds but during the night she got into my bed. I put my hand around her waist and she moved closer to me, let’s intertwined, face to face, her green eyes glowing. We were sitting by a pool the next day and she splashed me with water and tried to push me in but I told her if I go in she’s coming with me so I picked her up and jumped in, we were laughing and I was still holding her in my arms. We went to the wedding and before bed I asked if I could kiss her cheek because I didn’t want to over step any boundaries, she said yes and as I went in to kiss her cheek she turned her face and I kissed her lips instead, it was like nothing I had ever felt before. We went to sleep in the same bed. I woke up shortly after that and it took me a while to realise that it was all a dream.

In the clinic we used to smoke together and on Valentine’s day she held my hand and it felt like this jolt of energy going through my body.

Why do I keep dreaming of her, I never have a dream without her in it. What does it mean? Please help!

    Hii,
I had a vivid dream about this man who I don’t even know. All I can remember was his hair color and some physical aspects. In the dream, we married at the beach. There was a lot of people, including my family. Then he carried me and kissed me. It felt so real. Then a few weeks later, I had a dream about him, but this time we were on a different environment. I’m not sure why I had these strange dreams. My dreams are usually about being in other planets and talking to strange people, and some of them are repetitive. I enjoyed reading your article. Have a nice day ❤️
