What is A Soulmate?
A soulmate is that one person that we’ve been seeking to meet; the one that’s been recurring in our dreams… the reality amongst our fantasies.
It has been one of man’s greatest efforts to find their soulmate. The one person that will fill his or her life with such passion that it would feel like heaven itself.
But does such ‘destiny’ exist in reality? We’re about to find out!
Soulmate Definition
There’s no exact definition of a soulmate, so to provide you with a broader glimpse of what it truly means, I’ll be using my definition in this article.
So just what is a soulmate?
“A soulmate is the man or woman or your dreams. He or she will have all of the qualities you desire. When you meet, your lives will flow together naturally, harmoniously, and seemingly effortlessly.”

Most people use the term ‘soulmate’ to capture the emotion they feel when meeting a person that fills the greatest happiness in their lives.
This intense feeling of euphoria has been a quest for all mankind ever since time immemorial. For many, finding their true love, someone to spend their life with, has been a goal in their journey.
You may think that finding your true love will be the end of the goal. But for me, it’s part of a life-long journey…

This may sound like a context taken from a fantasy book, but let me tell you something amusingly true – soulmates are as real as the angels that walk among us. And the best part is, unlike the angels, soulmates have a physical body. We can feel them – tangibly!
So you might be wondering, if soulmates are real, why are there so many failed relationships? Is a soulmate encounter as rare as finding a pearl in a deep sea?
To answer all these questions, let’s dig deeper into the context of a soulmate; how soulmates are created, reincarnation, and past lives.
How Are Soulmates Created?
Your soulmates have nearly the same energy vibration with your soul when it comes to energy and quality. This means that the souls in your soul group have the highest compatibility.
In the beginning of the creation of all souls, it is believed that the divine Creator conceived souls in groups, before descending them onto earth.
The souls within this group are literally your potential soulmates. Your soulmates have nearly the same energy vibration with your soul when it comes to energy and quality. This means that the souls in your soul group have the highest compatibility in comparison to the other souls outside your group.
It is important to note that not all of your soulmates choose to be born on earth at the same time as you do. Some souls prefer to choose a different timeline from you, depending on their previous lives and what they still need to learn and accomplish on earth.
So by understanding soul groups, you can see why you have more than one soulmate. So YES, we all have more than one soulmate. So don’t be sad when you’ve missed a chance with someone before – because your ideal soulmate might just be around the corner!
And now that you know the origin of our soulmates, let’s now move on to talk about their link to reincarnation and past lives.
Reincarnation
Your soulmate, just like everyone here on earth, goes through the same process of reincarnation. But it’s important to note that not all of your soulmates go through this process at the same time as you do.
When our souls were created, their purpose and goal on earth was to accumulate earthly experiences in order to attain perfection and transcendence. This means that we are not meant to experience just a single life-time here on earth.
In order to attain ‘soul perfection,’ your soul needs to reincarnation so it can be reborn once again, and continue its journey towards ascension.
Your soulmate, just like everyone here on earth, goes through the same process of reincarnation. But it’s important to note that not all of your soulmates go through this process at the same time as you do. Some of them might have passed on to the afterlife ahead of time. So this is what continues the cycle of you being able to have soulmate potentials in each of your future lifetimes.
Also, take note that a soul, after it’s passed on from this current life-time, may choose to stay in the Astral plane a little longer than most souls. Since the soul has its own will, it may choose to reside in the Astral world a little longer than everyone else in its soul group. This also determines the number of a soulmate encounters you will have available in your next lifetime.
Past Lives
Past lives are literally your soul’s past life experiences. And now, you might be wondering, “what’s the connection between a soulmate relationship and past lives?”
Well, as you can see, in your previous lifetimes, we might have encountered a soulmate already. But due to factors like emotional struggles, environment, etc, this past life relationship might not have ended well.
These factors sometimes create a ‘tear’ into your soul, that is carried by you in your next lifetime. This ‘tear’ is often times referred to by artists as “something that not even time can mend.”
Thought it’s true this tear leaves a significant scar in your soul, it’s not something you can’t recuperate from. You can heal from these your past life scars by having a past life reading. During the reading, you can make peace with your past and start living more in the present. This way, you’ll be able to ‘let go’ of your emotional baggage that’s been a burden to you for a very long time.
Your ideal soulmate is going to be more attracted to you if you’re ‘emotionally whole.’
So try to let go of the past and embrace your future in order for the both of you to have a lasting soulmate relationship.
How Many Soulmates Do I Have?
It is believed that during the conception of all souls, the number of souls within its group varies from one group to another.
Also, factors like reincarnation and past lives also have an impact on the amount of potential soulmates you can encounter in this life.
Lastly, the number of your potential soulmates can also vary depending on the amount of past lives that you’ve lived.
But just for a rough estimate, if you’ve been through at least 20 lifetimes, you have an estimated number of at least 60 potential soulmates out there waiting to meet you! .
But one thing is certain; you came into this life with the potential to have a soulmate relationship!
How Will I Know If I Had a Soulmate Encounter?
You’ll know that you’ve had a soulmate encounter when you’ve met someone who seems to be the epitome of your desires.

I did a little calculation. If you have an average of 60 soulmates per 20 lifetimes and someone has significantly more, is it even that possible to have hundreds or thousands of potential candidates per lifetime? In my calculations I used Tanas past life count as a template example which indicates over 1400 potential soulmates. ( I know you already found your soulmate. I’m just using it as an example). If you take into account the number of souls per average group, is it really that much or have the capacity to get that high? Does/can the soul group expand or always stay the same? If it stays the same, then it is unlikely a soulmate count will not get that high.
The average person has around 50 to 60 soulmate potentials walking around out there.
I’m an idiot, it does expand. Tana essentially stated you accumulate more soulmates. For a soul that has accumulated 20 lifetime.es will accumulate an average of 60 soulmates

I admit your article is still interesting and that explains why we do meet people towards whom we got or express strong emotions on this earth. Some of them we might not be in good term with even if we want to due to different goals in life and curcumstances but like for example if i count well; i must have had 4 pastlives before till now by the number of people i came across but i try to learn something from the relatiobship somehow however hitter they are just for the sake of my soul development till one day(if it happen) i meet my ideal soulmate.
Quite a long path is it!
